Willis Leon Cotten “Willy” was born December 29, 2007, to LaTonya Smith and Derrick Cotten Jr., in Dayton, Ohio.
He was a junior at Trotwood High School and worked at Chuck E. Cheese. He loved sports especially football and WWE Wrestling and would welcome a debate on either subject. Willis was a gentle soul, pleasant and kind who loved cheesecake, talking sports and watching WWE Raw with his grandma.
He was preceded in death by his brother Devin Gentle Cotten, and Grandfather Derrick D. Cotten Sr.
He is survived by parents LaTonya Smith and Derrick Cotten Jr.; two sisters, Naomi and Shayla Cotten; one brother, Derrick Cotten III; one niece, Brielle Rose Cotten; Grandmothers, Willa Cotten, and Rose Smith, a host of aunts and uncles. Special grade school friend Joshua Rodgers.
Funeral service 12 pm Monday, October 21, 2024 at Woodland Mausoleum Chapel, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 11 am at which time family will receive friends. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
