Willie E. Finklea, Jr.

Willie Earl Finklea Jr., born February 8, 1974 in Dayton, Ohio to Willie Earl Finklea Sr. and Barbra (Finklea) Chandler, departed this life July 20, 2020. Willie was preceded in death by his son, Willie Earl Finklea III; mother, Barbra (Chandler) Kelley; brother, Byron Finklea Sr.; maternal grandparents, Mary Overton and Charles Chandler; paternal grandfather, Robert Finklea; aunt, Linda Lyons; best friend, Charles (Chuck) Bohanon. He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Dallas Finklea; sister, Shara Finklea; Granny Annie Ree Finklea; father, Willie Earl (Marva & Desmond) Finklea; sister/cousin, Merlinda (Shawn & Robbie) Mattison; nieces/nephews, Shayela (Germyha, & Jaydenn) Miller, Shai (Shamica, Shai Jr. & Shailah) Spiva, Shavion (Legacy) Finklea-Day, Shane & Shavonte’ McGriff, Byron Finklea Jr.; a host of other family and friends. Special thanks to devoted friends: Janell (lil Will’s mom & Jamel) Byrd, Ashley Styles and Ronetta Anderson. Service will be held 12 noon Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at The Redemption Gospel Church, 665 Salem Ave. Visitation 10 am until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
