Vivian Louise Brown-Edwards, age 65, of Dayton, OH, was a loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She left this system suddenly on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
She was born to Beverly Brown and the late Bennie Carter on October 21, 1958. Vivian was a graduate from Meadowdale High School, class of 1977. She attended Miami Jacob's Career College, held several jobs in retail, and became a professional manicurist and nail technician.
Vivian enjoyed studying with Jehovah's Witnesses and attending meetings at the Northridge Congregation. She loved spending time with her family and friends, as well as shopping; her #1 pass time.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, David Edwards; granddaughter, Tristan Carlton; sister, Pam Carter; brother, Andre Carter; and best friend, Felicia Blue.
Vivian is survived by her mother, Beverly Brown; her children, Todd Carlton and Shanika Bryant; sisters, Karen Brown, Beverly Holmes, Shawon (Chris) Gullette, Georgette (Antonio) Walker; grandchildren, Johnnie Edwards, Brayden Bryant, Davion Carlton, Destini Carlton, Tonisha Carlton, Daviona Cole Carlton, Cheyionne Henderson, Taujay Carlton, Todd Carlton, To'Danae Carlton, Ta'Niya Wilson, Terris Wilson, Te'Aja Carlton, Kaliah Baker, Kimmie Baker, Travionne Wilson; special friends, Johnny Martin and Kim Rayford; along with a host of nieces, nephews, close cousins, all loving family and friends.
Funeral service 12 pm Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave, Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am- 12 pm. Family to receive friends 11 am- 12pm.
