Virginia Fugate, age 81, was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on January 27, 1943 to Ben and Mozzelle Elder. She fell asleep on December 14, 2024.
She attended Roosevelt High School in Dayton, Ohio. Virginia worked at Miami Valley Hospital, where she met and married the love of her life, Thomas Lewis Fugate Sr.
She was baptized and faithfully served as a Jehovah’s witnesses in the Trotwood congregation. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and associating with her brothers and sisters. But most of all hearing from all her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mozzelle Elder; loving husband of 51 years, Thoms Lewis Fugate Sr.; brothers, Benjamin Elder Jr. and Sherman Elder; nephew, Gary Elder; grandson, Elmar Demar Rucker.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Toni Jackson (Eric) Younger; sons, Thomas (Rana) Fugate, and Michael Fugate; grandchildren, Raphael (Crystal) Jackson, Enrico Jackson, Journey Younger, and Thomas Fugate (Tommy); great grandchildren, Draiden Moon, Lilliana Jackson, Bellatrix Jackson; loving sister-in-law, Barbara Elder; a host of other relatives, family, and friends.
Memorial service 2 pm Friday, January 3, 2025 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1530 N. James H. McGee Blvd. Dayton, OH. Calling hour 1 pm at which time family will receive friends. Cards and flowers can be sent to 57 W. Waterbury Drive, Springboro, OH, 45066.
