Tyler Matthew Johnson

Tyler Matthew Johnson, age 21, was born in Dayton, OH on February 16, 2002, and went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2023.

He was a quiet and kind young man. Tyler liked playing and watching basketball, hanging with his dog Magic, traveling and playing video games. He was soft spoken, and loved his family deeply. He very often provided assistance to anyone who asked. He was passionate about helping people in need.

In the spring of this year, Tyler accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was overjoyed about his decision and was excited to talk about it.

He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted mother, Jaqueline "Jackie" Martin; father, Tod Johnson (Annie); maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Duerson; paternal grandmother, Shirley Johnson; sisters, Cara Johnson, Denise Gee, and Marquita Gee; aunts, Tracy Johnson, Tami (Steve) Vestel; godmother, Dorothy Martin; great aunt, Ann Martin; great uncles, James (Sonya) Martin, Richard (Angela) Martin, Robert Martin; special friends Donny Davis, Gregg White, Marquis Vestal and Ryan Abernathy; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 9 am- 11 am Monday, September 18, 2023, at Bethesda Temple, 3701 Salem Ave, Dayton, OH. Family will receive friends 10am- 11am. Funeral service begins at 11 am. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
