Shirley Stiles Obituary

Shirley Ann Stiles, was born August 21, 1942 in Dayton Ohio to the late John H. and Allie Lou Allen. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1961.

She was married on October 15, 1962 to the love of her life, Robert Todd Stiles, and to this union, four children were born. Accepting Christ at an early age, she diligently read the Daily Bread and Bible while enjoying her morning coffee. This morning routine readily prepared her for the day. She was honored to be what she vigorously, termed herself "a household technician", cooking was her endearing passion which she used to gather her family. Her kitchen was an instrumental domain to life, where she tested and perfected her favorite recipes from the Food Network Channel. She liked to play her favorite card game of 500 with Todd. She enjoyed weekend getaways with her family, rather it was our annual Valentine's Day weekend or week-long vacations. She was a child of Summer and enjoyed sitting on her front porch.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Allen Jr.; in-laws, Samuel Waters, Charles and Mable (Boosie) Scurry, Nicky Stiles, Billy Stiles, Betty Jo Stubbs.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 58 years, Robert Stiles; son, Robert Stiles Jr; daughters, Sharon Stiles, Kimberly Stiles, Rachelle (Walter C.) Vaught; sisters, Mabel Waters, Joyce Crawl, Denise {Toney} Powell; affectionately known as "Mawmaw" by her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; in-laws, Harold and Barbara Stiles of Los Angeles, CA, Marjorie Richardson, and Joyce Stiles; a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends, and special cousin, Ruby (Robert) Jefferies of Toledo, OH.
