Sharon "Sherry" McLemore-See was born on June 14, 1969, in Dayton, OH, to Lawrence McLemore Sr. and Delores Stark. Affectionately known as Sherry, she was raised by her father Lawrence McLemore and mother Betty McLemore in Jefferson Township. She discovered her talent for sports while attending Jefferson-Senior High School and became the star varsity basketball and softball player. Sherry graduated with high honors in 1987 and started her first job at Pizza Hut in Trotwood. In 1988, she moved to Columbus, OH.
Sherry began her career at Columbus Regional Airport Authority as a custodian for 10 years and later transitioned to Human Resources, where she worked for 5 years before leaving the position in 2010. Her passion for criminal justice and forensics led her to pursue an associate’s degree in criminal justice at ITT Technical Institute. After graduation, she worked as the Head of Security at Easton Town Center for 5 years before returning to Human Resources due to a knee injury.
Sherry cherished family gatherings, game nights, dancing, and playing video games with her family and friends. She also enjoyed golf, tennis, karaoke, photography and spending quality time with the grandchildren being a cheer coach/ cheer mom and giving swimming lessons. There was never a dull moment or a quiet room when Sherry was present as she entered the room and loved to say “the superstar has arrived”. The infectious vibrant spirit that Sherry so zealously spread will greatly be missed by many.
