Sharon K. Jones

Sharon K. Jones peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving a legacy of faith, love and service. She was a devoted educator for over 30 years, inspiring and uplifting students with wisdom, patience, and compassion.  

Sharon’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to her beloved daughters and son in laws, whom she cherished, Sherrita Jordan (Aubrey) and Rineeka Sheppard (Steve). She loved being a grandmother to Areyon, Qmari, Sincere, Zaria, and Tristan, who brought light and laughter to her life.  

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Jones; her parents, James and Doffer Allen; and her dear sister, Carolyn Smith. 

She is survived by her brothers and their wives: James Jr. (Tina), Chris Allen, Jeffery (Marina), Carlton (Charlotte), and Gregory (Lin); her brother-in-law, Levi Smith; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. She also leaves her son-in-love, Jason Williams.   

Sharon lived anchored in prayer and love. Her legacy will continue in the lives she touched and hearts that cherish her memory. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the many lives she has touched. 

Funeral Service 1 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Interment West Memory Gardens.
