Sharon Marie Boyd

Sharon Marie Boyd went to her heavenly home on January 9, 2023, born to the late Naomi Jackson and William Martin Jr., July 19, 1950, in Batavia, Ohio. 

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Eddie R. Boyd Sr.; daughter, Shawanda A. Boyd; son, Eddie R. Boyd Jr.; and granddaughter Aiesha Boyd-Hand.

Also preceded in death mother and father-in-law, Lucius Boyd Sr. and Ann E. Boyd; brothers-in-law, Lucius Boyd Jr., Clarence, Kevin and Robert Lawson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Menifee, Lucille and Clara Boyd.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memory to, devoted granddaughter, Alexis Boyd-McCoy, and her devoted son-in-law, Alexander McCoy; great-grandchildren, Alexander Jr., Amaya and Akeylia McCoy, and Imani Boyd; sisters in-law, Mary Carpenter, Aretha and Alberta Boyd.

Also leaves to cherish her memory to a dear friend, and daughter-in-law, Stacey Madry-Boyd, special friends, Teresa Simmons (Curt); devoted nephew and caregiver Terance Boyd, and a dear nephew Antwon A. Simmons, and a host of nephews and nieces.

Although Sharon had only 2 children, her and Eddie Sr. raised other children as well. Sharon loved family gatherings, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Everyone knew that there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for any of them; especially her grandbabies.

Visitation Wednesday, 10am-12pm Wednesday, January 25 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45406.

Memorial Service will be held at The Upper Room Christian, Center, 1106 N. Main St., Sidney, Ohio.

The date for the memorial will be announced at a later date.
