Sharn K Waggoner Sr.

Mr. Sharn K. Waggoner AKA “Barney Five” was born September 19, 1967 to Arthur and Gerta Waggoner.  He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.  Sharn was a graduate of Belmont High School class of 1986 and an avid Boston Celtics fan.  He always enjoyed a good game of “Pickup” basketball.

A family man, Sharn loved to spend quality time with his children and especially his grandchildren, Ka’Sharn Burney and Londyn Burney.  He just loved being around people.

Waiting for him with open arms at the Golden Gates of Haven will be his parents, Arthur and Greta Waggoner; brother, George Cole; son, Kesharn Burney; sisters, Deborah Waggoner and Lynn Waggoner; nieces, Lesley Waggoner; nephew, Quincy Waggoner; dear friend Mark “Corky” Miller and best friend, Ebony “Pumpkin” Fisher.

Sharn is survived by his son, Sharn Waggoner Jr.; brothers, Harry (Mary) Cole, Arthur Waggoner Jr., and twin brother, Shannon (Angela) Waggoner; Sharn is also survived by Teresa Gordon; nephews, Colton Waggoner and Arman Waggoner; niece, Angelina James; his significant other, Frances White; lifelong friends, John “Casper” Smith and Eric Fisher. A host of other relatives, family, and friends.

Funeral service 11 am Monday, May 15, 2023, at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Avenue. Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am- 11 am. Family to receive friends, 10 am-11am. (Mask Required).
