Ms. Sandra “Cookie” Diane Spencer was born on Wednesday, August 9, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Willie E. Evans and Pauline B. McCullar. Sandra was 80 years old at the time of her untimely passing and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24th.
Sandra graduated from Dunbar High School in 1963 and worked at Micro Devices as an Assembler, Quality Control Inspector, Group Leader and Supervisor. Sandra was a beautiful soul who loved her family and friends deeply. She always called to check on you or sent a birthday card and you could always count on getting a monetary gift from her on your birthday of $1 for every year of life! Sandra loved her Bengals and just about every sport! She will truly be missed!
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; grandmothers, Margaret McCullar and Rannie Smith Butler; brother, Robert “Bobby” McCullar; sister, Marguerite McCullar; and great-granddaughter, Tariah Journee Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Larry J. Williams, Jr., Todd (Kim) Williams, Bennie Spencer, Jr. and Daniel (Gayvonne) Peoples; two sisters, Michael (Mark) Mueller and Claudette Grigsby; one brother, Gregory (Sherrie) McCullar; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; devoted cousins, Vicki Minor and Sheila “Sandy” Butler Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends!
Funeral service 11 am Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am- 11 am. Family will receive friends 10 am- 11 am. Interment West Memory Gardens.
