Samuel James Morgan, age 70, was born on February 23, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio. He departed this life on Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was a resident of Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Nettie Lee Roth High School.
Samuel was enlisted into the United States Air Force in May 1972, as a Psychiatric Clinical Specialist. He received a National Defense Service Medal. He later attended Central State University.
He went on to live his life later working at the Ford Plant in Troy, Ohio.
Samuel was a loving family man and had 6 children. He is preceded in death by his parents Botto and Rosie Morgan and his sister Carol J. Morgan.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sister Sarah Morgan; nieces Tanya Morgan, Michelle Holliday and Nicole Morgan; great nephews, Cordell Holliday (Aden, Asanti, Aniyah), Christopher Thomas (Colton), Robert Harmon and Raphael Ojezua;great nieces, Devenae’ Morgan (Da’Nija, Za’Ryah), Nashea Harmon (Bradley, Brittany, Blessing), Chyna Harmon (Treyveon) and Lena Harmon and a host of relatives and friends.
Samuel lived at the Biltmore for years until moving to Shiloh Springs Care Center. Special thanks to his loving caregivers Cierra Turner, Ms. Janaye, Kimberly Brown, Ms. Vanita and Ms. Vanessa.
Visitation 10 am- 12pm Wednesday, March 22 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Family to receive friends 11 am- 12pm. Funeral service to begin at 12 pm. (Mask Required). Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
