Roosevelt Baker, born November 22, 1940 in Troy, Alabama, transitioned from this life September 8, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Baker; sisters, Minnie Jones and Dorothy Nickolson; son, Derrick Baker.

Roosevelt is survived by his ex-wife, Lula V. Baker; lifelong girlfriend, Lela Graham; brothers, Jimmy (Marlene) Baker, Willie (Teresa) Baker, Robert (Joyce) Baker and Lewis (Linda) Baker; sisters, Ann Ballard, Mary McCloud, Betty Baker, JoAnn, Madison, and Ruthie Ruffin, Ola Boykin; sons, Eric Baker and Isaac Baker; daughters, Jean Baker-Holmes and Vanessa Baker; seven grandchildren; a host of friends.

He was a loving and devoted father who will be missed by many. He is in Heaven now with God. Amen.

Walk-through visitation 10 am-1 pm Thursday, September 16, at House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. (Mask Required). Service at 1 pm. Interment West Memory Gardens.
