Ronald Lee “Ron” Holland, age 72, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. Born in Xenia, Ohio to Myles Holland and Mildred Cooper. Ron lived a life rooted in love, service, and quiet strength. Ron dedicated his life to service, compassion, and the pursuit of understanding. He spent many years working in environmental services at Kettering Medical Center, where his strong work ethic and quiet kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Ron was a man driven by a deep passion for helping others. He found joy in research, learning, and exploring the world around him—always seeking ways to better himself and those he cared for. Above all else, Ron loved his family fiercely. He was a man of honor, glory, and genuine love, and he carried those qualities into every aspect of his life.
Ron is survived by his devoted wife for 55 years, Shirley Holland, and their three children—Myrtis Stone, Ronald (Deborah) Holland, and Selyna Holland. He leaves behind nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and five siblings—Mary Cook, Myles Holland who will forever cherish his memory. And the late Joe Holland, Constance Henderson, and Larry Holland.
Ron will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering kindness, and the profound love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him.
A private gathering was held with close family to honor Ron’s life and legacy.
