Ronald Eugene Berry

Ronald Eugene Berry, age 73, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 26, 2025. Ronald Berry was born to JC Berry and Juanita Dickerson on September 21, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio.

Ronald graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School class of 1970. Immediately after graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served years as a Weapons Specialist. He loved to fish, draw, ride/fix bikes, dance and listen to music. He retired from FloServ after many years of service. He was an Honorary Member of Restoration Church of Jesus Christ in Dayton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dale Berry, Van Berry, Byron Berry, Willie Freeman, Pete Ivory, Rico Harris; sister, Jackie Norvell; Roscoe Menefee who played a major part in raising him.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life, sons, Ronald Shawn Richardson, Dexter Eugene Berry(Candice), Gary Darcel Berry; devoted granddaughters, Chantel Richardson(Khirya Hill), Lashawnda Richardson, Sha’ron Richardson, MarTia Lauderdale, Honesty Booker and Mi’Ana Berry; grandsons, D’Marcus Mitchell, Darius Jackson and Dylan Berry; sister, Selena Dunson; a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren to cherish his memory along with special nieces and nephews, the Norvell’s ; mothers of his children, Karen Richardson and Gloria Ray; special friend James Ashley.

Funeral service 12 pm Monday, June 9, 2025 at Restoration Church of Jesus Christ, 904 Vernon Drive, Dayton, OH. Visitation 11 am- 12 pm at which time family will receive friends.  Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
