Born Carol Ann Sims on July 19, 1941 to Charles and Esther Sims. A Pineview resident and 1960 Roosevelt High School graduate slept away gracefully in her childhood home on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Rev. Thompson began her ministry in the late 1970’s at First Wesleyan Church on Gramont.
She leaves to cherish her memories 3 daughters, Rhonda (Mark) Jackson, Mary Thompson-Roebuck, Audra (William) McLelland; 1 son, George (Terri) Thompson; 1 sister, Frances (Paul Sr.) Boykin; 1 brother, Michael Sr.(Cora) Sims; 2 bonus daughters, Denise (Steve) Abernathy, Cynthia (George) Blevins; 1 bonus son, Greg Thompson Sr.; 13 grandchildren, Marlin “TJ” Martin, Brandy Reeves, Candace Render, Joshua Thompson, Jason “Mark” McDaniel, Angel McDaniel, John Kalebaba, Karolyn Fairbairn, Tiffanie Carol Ann Thompson, George DJ Thompson 3rd, D’Angelo Thompson, Darius Brewer, Shameika Barton; 28 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and the entire Pineview Association Community.
Funeral service 11 am Thursday, June 26, 2025 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am- 11 am. Family will receive friends 10 am- 11 am. Interment West Memory Gardens.
