Preston D. Thomas

Preston D. Thomas, age 56, was born on May 13, 1969 in Dayton, OH. He unexpectedly departed this life Sunday, September 14, 2025. Preston graduated from Meadowdale High School class of 1988 and The Dayton Barber College where he became a Master Barber.

Preston was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Tanya Louise Thomas, and his brother, Tyson Patrick Sr.

He is survived by his father, Ronald P. Appleberry; children, Maurice Hood, GiSanna Marshall, Marquita Reid; sisters, Jacqueline Dixon, Ronisha Carter, and Taralyn Woodall;  grandchildren, Ty’Ora, Keandre, Diddionna, Dreaires, and Deandre; aunts, Rosetta Brown, Rochelle Jefferson; uncles, Stephen Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Robert Thomas; special niece, LaDaisia Carter; special nephew and main man, Adonis Armstrong; girlfriend, Nicole Houston;  a host of other siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends including best friends, William Stacey Wheat, Cedric J. Marbury, Donald Pullen Jr., and Laren Lawson, whose unwavering support and love brought him joy throughout his life.
Celebration of Life 12 pm Monday, September 29, 2025 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am- 12 pm. Family will receive friends 11 am- 12 pm. Interment West Memory Gardens.
