Phyllis Jean Fluellen

Phyllis Jean Fluellen (Benson) was called home by her Heavenly Father on November 27, 2024. She was born on January 11, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Roosevelt High School class of 1966 and attended Central State University.

She was an employee of WPAFB and the V.A., retiring after 38 years. She was active in her church until her illness. Phyllis loved her family and enjoyed all the family gatherings and most of all, she loved the Lord!

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Madge Benson, seven aunts, four uncles and numerous cousins.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted son, Joe L. Fluellen, Jr., (Donna); grandson, Joe L. Fluellen, III (Kaylee); her precious great granddaughter Mia Jolee of Oklahoma; her dear and devoted sister, Beverly Foster; special niece, Kelly Benson of Cincinnati,; special nephews, Korey and Kasey Alves; loving cousin Madeline Brandon of Richmond, VA; cousins, Stacey and Amy Dyer, lifelong sister friend Racine Taylor and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.

Funeral service 11 am Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 S. Broadway St., Dayton, OH. Visitation 10 am- 11 am at which time family will receive friends. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
