Peter Eugene Wade, age 23, of Dayton, Ohio, went home to be with our Lord on May 14, 2026. Born on July 27, 2002, in Dayton, Ohio, Peter was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. He was truly one of a kind, lovable, fiercely loyal, and full of a vibrant energy that could uplift any room he entered.
Peter grew up with a deep passion for sports. He played football throughout high school and remained a dedicated lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Peter graduated from Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School on May 18, 2020, and later proudly earned his welding certification, carrying with him a strong work ethic and determination to build a future for his family.
Above all else, Peter’s greatest joy in life was being a father. He poured his heart into his three beautiful children, teaching them love, laughter, and strength. He also shared an unbreakable and deeply profound bond with his mother, father, and grandparents, a love so powerful that words could never fully measure it. Whether he was playing basketball, diving into video games, spending time with family, or hanging out with his many friends, Peter lived life with a generous spirit and a warmth that will be missed forever.
Peter leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Shameka Keith; his father, Gregory Jones Jr.; his beloved grandparents, Mililani Robinson and Michael Keith Sr.; his three cherished children, Peter Eugene Wade Jr., A’Nylah Dior Wade, and Soleil Yvonne Wade; and the mothers of his children, Jaelah Bailey and RaMykah Evans.
He is also survived by his devoted siblings, D’Arco Kingsman, Gregory Jones III, and Neshawn Johnson; his loving godmothers, Latisha Boykin, Dionna Waters, and Angela Henry; his loving godfathers, William Sampson and Byron Henry; his best friends, Keyon Owens, Keylin Miller, Kendall Miller, Kendale Owens, and Keshaun Owens; and his close friends, Micah Graham, Kenneth Owens, Marquel Henry, Marquis Henry, Juston Johnson, Quan, Savon O’Neal, Ciential Vaughn, Dawneyle Waters, Reginald Waters, Khalil Daniel’s, Crystal Hargrave, Donovan Williams, Latoya Bass, Alton Herron, Joevon Colvin, Keymaurie Boykin, and Brandon Dunson.
Peter also leaves behind his loving aunts, Shadiamond Keith, Michelle Keith, Tamika Baldwin, and Demetrius Holt; his uncles, Michael Keith and Rickie Demus; along with a host of cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his love and presence.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nellie Collins and Emmanuel Demus; his paternal grandparents, Thelma Dickerson and Gregory Jones Sr.; his uncles, Al’Fontenay Baldwin, Keith Smith, and Roger Mitchell; and his cherished loved ones, James Cameron III and D’Angelo Kerley.
Though Peter’s time here was far too short, the love, laughter, loyalty, and light he brought into this world will continue to live on through his children, family, and everyone who had the honor of knowing him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him most.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
