Patsy “Patsy Ann” rested peacefully in God’s hands on September 4, 2025, at the age of 69.
Patsy was born to Frances and Joseph Smith on September 25, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio. Patsy was the life of the party, spoke her mind and wasn’t afraid to talk to you in her “special language” (smile). Patsy loved kids and being around people. You could always find her on a Sunday afternoon watching her favorite team, the Cincinnati Bengals, with an aluminum can of Bud light by her side. Throughout her career, Patsy upheld many positions helping and pouring into others. She decided to begin the next chapter of her life and retired from the MVCDC Head Start Twin Towers Center.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances Smith; 3 brothers, Michael (Mickey) Murray, Joseph (Tony) Smith, and James (Smitty) Smith; and 1 sister Suzanne (Sue) Smith.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories long time special friend, Earl Coplen; father of children, Myles Alexander; 3 children, Tamara Smith, Frances Smith, Sentell Smith; 4 sisters, Helen (Waymon) Mattison, Sherita Pittman, Mamie Taylor, Barbara Wilson; 1 aunt, Grace Winfrey; 5 grandchildren, Jeara Smith, Sentell Smith, Jr., Briael Pounds, Syncere Smith, and Roderick Flowers, Jr.; 6 great grandchildren, Jelin Maloney, Ivy Maloney, Karter Smith, Jason Baccus, Sentell Smith, III and Dream Baccus; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Cook and Donda Clements. Every niece, nephew and cousin knew they were Patsy’s favorite. She had numerous special friends, too many to mention.
