Patrick D. Brown

Patrick Dale Brown “Rick”, born July 17, 1954 in Sidney, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Words cannot begin to describe the hole that is now left in our hearts.

Rick retired from AT&T in 2012 after thirty-nine years of service. He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed watching westerns, working in his yard and his monthly brunch with his buddies. He loved his family and worked tirelessly to provide for them and to ensure that his children had access to their dreams. “I’m just an ordinary guy with an extraordinary job helping parent four great girls.”

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Martha Brown; brother, Mark Brown; and son, Jeffrey Dale Brown.

Loving memories are cherished by his wife, Janice Brown; daughters, Alicia (Richard), Kimberly, Valerie and Melanie (Jamie); grandchildren, Milysha, Marissa and Brenton will deeply miss their Pawpaw, and as Brenton, his youngest grandchild has said, “At least Pawpaw is no longer in pain”. He also leaves behind two brothers, Scott (Vicki) and Tony (Tambra); a loving and devoted aunt, Pat Tripp; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside service 11 am Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Graceland Cemetery, 975 S. Main Ave., Sidney, OH. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
