Mildred Deloris Bryant was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 26, 1945 to Moses and Joyce Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Melvalyn Clark; and great nephew, Daniel Clark.
Mildred accepted Christ at ten-years old. As a high school senior, she was amongst the first African Americans to integrate NCR as a student secretary. In 1963, she graduated with honors from Roosevelt High School. She earned several degrees including an MBA from Central Michigan University.
Mildred was united in marriage to John T. Reid on April 16, 1966. To this union, two daughters were born. She worked in the Fiscal Department at the VA Medical Center. She became a government contractor with DESC and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with more than three decades of dedicated service.
Mildred was a faithful member of Faith Apostolic Temple where she served as the church secretary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and exposing them to her favorite pastime, fishing.
Left to cherish her memory: daughters, Sheila Reid and Renee (Caesar) Sampson; grandchildren, Charity Reid, Sydney Sampson, Chloe Sampson, Kennedy Sampson, Therman Sampson III, and Tiffany Sampson; sister, Brenda Bryant; brother, Mose (Tommie) Hardin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
