Matthew C. Scott

Matthew Christopher Scott, was born in East Lansing, Michigan to Pastor Matthew and Mary Scott on June 4, 1974.

He graduated from Trotwood Madison High School and attended Sinclair Community College, and Commercial Art & Advertising School. He was a great artist. When growing up he loved swimming, and was on the Columbus Swim Team. Later, he became a lifeguard and taught swimming classes. He spent over 20 years in the Airline Industry starting with Northwest Airlines; ending with Delta Airlines Columbus International Airport. Matt loved his co-workers and took great pride in working for Delta.

Matthew’s love of his life was his daughter, Miyah. He loved spending time with her as they played video games, watched movies and swimming together. He loved watching her cook, and said she made the best omelets in the world!

Matthew recommitted his life to Jesus Christ in 2018 and was baptized in Jesus’ name and became an advocate and witness of the Gospel; telling family and friends of the hope and joy he found in serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He found joy in studying the Scriptures and researching End Time Events and was excited to share his Faith with everyone. Matthew will be Greatly Missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Pastor Matthew and Mary Scott; daughter, Miyah Scott and her mother, Hyesia Cummings; brother, Mark Joseph Scott; sister, Mary Elizabeth Scott; Katrina McAlpine and her son, Josh; aunts, Liz and Thelma Scott; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12 noon Monday, November 1, at Maranatha Worship Centre, 4501 Wolf Rd. Visitation 10 am-12 noon. (Mask Required). Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
