Mary Gant was born on September 5, 1930, to Jeff Davis and Carrie Thomas Davis. Her seeds of life were planted in Pensacola, Florida, and following an extended illness, she moved to her heavenly home.
She married the late James H. Gant, Sr., (USAF, MSgt, Retired) and raised seven children. They spent years at WPAFB and lived in Page Manor.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Later in life, she became a member of St. Paul Community Church. She had a love of basketball, track, dance, piano, Bingo, Pokeno and indoor plants.
She was preceded in death by son, Joseph Gant; sons-in-law, Charles Oliver and Anthony Miller; brother, Seona Robinson; sisters, Carrie Yates and Mable Cook; grandson, Nickolas Gant; granddaughters, Bonnica Ware-Gant and LaQatta Ware.
She is survived by: Debra Gant Oliver--Naticia (Phil) Porche, Charles Jr., James, Jamil (Anita), Darrion, and Volanda

Funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, April 30, at St. Paul Community Church, 2190 Fairport Ave. Visitation 11 am until time of service. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
