Marvin L. Milliner was born December 4, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio. He was the 11th child born to the union of Early and Willie Mae Milliner.
He was baptized in Jesus’ name and saved at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church. Marvin was a diligent, faithful and active member. He was a licensed minister and served as an usher. He was a dedicated and hard worker at Christ Temple.
He attended Nettie Lee Roth High School. He did custodial work for many years and work in school buildings and at Wright State University.
Marvin was married to Letitia (divorced) and was blessed with the birth of four daughters, Rebekah, Katrina, Letita, and Roshell.
He departed this life Monday, July 1, 2024, only to enter another. His work has only just begun. Marvin was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae; father, Early F.; Bothers, John, William, James, Ernest; and sister; Mable.
He leaves to cherish the loving memories of those who mourn his passing, his daughters, Rebekah, Katrina, Letita, and Roshell; his 2 brothers, Early F. Milliner and Willie J. Scales; 3 sisters, Lillie Mae Parker, Darlene Makupson (Holland), and Geneva Connally; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
We cannot always understand why things happen as they do, but it is comforting to know that when your heart is troubled, you’ll find quiet, peace and calm if you open your bible and just read the treasured 23rd Psalm. If Marvin could say to all of you who now mourn, “Be happy for me; for I am in a greater place of happiness and peace.”
