Margaret Jean Jordan

Margaret Jean Jordan was born on May 3, 1957, in Lincoln, Alabama, to the late Maurice and Ruth Story. Margaret went home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2023.

She loved being a resident of Springfield, Ohio. She graduated from South High School and soon went on to earn her certification to become a licensed S.T.N.A. Margaret truly loved what she did and thoroughly enjoyed her line of work. She retired from Heartland of Springfield after 37 years of employment. When Margaret wasn’t working, she enjoyed doing things such as shopping, decorating, and getting her hair and nails done. Mom was always on the go and never let anything or anyone slow her down. Margaret became a member of the Church of God M.P.G. Of T back in 1978.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her four children, Charles Jordan, Tanisha Jordan, Brittany Jordan, and Princess Bates, all of Springfield, Ohio. Her four grandchildren, Aliijah Jordan, Ah’laya Mitchell-Jordan, I’israel Lawrence-Jordan, and Taniiah Lawrence-Jordan, all of Springfield, Ohio, and one b rother, Maurice Mitchell of Springfield, Ohio. Very close friends: Cheryl Oliver, Nancy Jackson, Ruby Battles, Catherine Wilson, Brenda Dearmond, Kathy Woods, Donna Brino-Blackwell, Jamie Threatt, and Gloria Holloway. And a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She will truly be missed by those who knew her; to know her was to love her. Mom really was quite the character, witty with a hint sarcastic humor. 

Memorial service 4pm-6pm Friday, May 26, 2023, at Church of God MPGT, 1179 Rosedale Ave, Springfield Ohio.
