Lucille Battis was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, friend, nurse and shoulder to lean on to everyone she encountered. She was the neighborhood mom. Her absence has left many broken hearted and devastated. She was always there for everyone if the Lord willed her to be.
Lucille was ‘wonder woman’. She held everyone together like glue. Her peace gave us peace. She loved our Father God, was a faithful believer, and gave of herself to Him all over again through baptism two months before her death. She never worried because she always knew that God would work it out.
This loss is a tragedy. The entire family will miss her from the depths of their souls. Mommy, you are the most amazing mother anyone could have ever been blessed with. I pray and know that you are at peace and are with your son, mother, and father, rejoicing.
Lucille leaves behind her daughter, Bianca Battis; son, Michael Lugo; as well as eight grandchildren, (one unborn; she was the only grandparent they knew); brother, Raymond Martinez, whom she loved from the bottom of her soul, and brothers from her dad’s side whom she also loved and cared for; niece, Cassandra DeJesus, whom she loved as a daughter; aunts, uncles, friends from around the world; favorite aunts, Antonia Caraballo, and Titi Josie whom she also held dear to her heart; and a host of other family and friends.
We love you for all eternity and you will forever be missed.
