Lititia Shamill La’Sha Whitfield, age 31, was born October 1, 1989 in Dayton, Ohio to Kirsten L. Whitfield and Tracy Sumlin. She graduated from Dayton Business Technology High School and went on to graduate from Fortis College in 2018.
Lititia worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Bekal at Brilliant Tooth Dental for three years. She also worked at Maria Joseph Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center for several years.
Lititia was a loving daughter, niece, sister, cousin, friend and caregiver to Buddy. To know Lititia was to love her joyous laughter and her beautiful smile. She enjoyed taking pictures, dancing, shopping, cooking, and caring for others. But most of all, she enjoyed caring for her dog, Buddy and spending time with her family and friends. Lititia was cheerful, outgoing, high spirited, kind hearted, and always willing to help.
Lititia was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helen Whitfield; grandfather, Beuford Whorton; aunt, Bobbie Whitfield; cousin, Stephen Whitfield; close family friend, Miller Eason.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Kirsten L. Whitfield; father, Tracy Sumlin; aunt, Kelice Whitfield; uncle, Kevin Whitfield; sisters, Whitney and Monique Sumlin; brother, Tarrelle Sumlin; special cousin, Ma’Son Miller; special friends, Victor and Quan; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
