Obituary
Lisa Marie McGinnis, age 61, was born August 19, 1962. She passed away peacefully at her residence in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
Lisa was a lifelong resident of Dayton. She graduated from John H. Patterson High School, Class of 1980. Lisa was an avid reader, writer, and extraordinary artist! She was also a proud member of the motorcycle club Bad to the Bone. She will truly be missed by her family and loved ones and by all those who have been touched by her art and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Fumi Samuels; husband, Anthony McGinnis; sister, Carlin Porter; nephew, Allen Samuels.
Lisa leaves to cherish her loving memory, her daughter, Tina Ivory; son, Eric Samuels; daughter, Mara Healey; stepsons, Rico Campbell and Antwon McGinnis; sisters, Pamela Samuels, Roberta Samuels, Lynn (Arthur) Hawkins; a host of grandchildren, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial service 11 am Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Calling hour 10 am at which time family will receive friends.
