Lisa Marie McGee passed away on Monday, August 5,2024. She was born on February 2, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Robert Lee and Fannie Mae McGee (Moragne). She was the 5th child out of 6 children.
Lisa was loved by everybody that she met and will always be remembered for having a big heart. Her favorite saying was "I Love EVERYBODY"!
Lisa loved music and dancing, cooking big meals, doing crossword puzzles, and most importantly spending qualify time with her family. She was the life of the party. Everyone in her community loved them some Lisa. During holidays, she would pass out dinners to her neighbors to show her love and appreciation. She was the neighborhood hairstylist as well. A lot of her talents she passed down to her children. Making other people smile was something she was great at doing. Soul food was one of her favorite meals to prepare, and if you have ever had her food, you would know that she cooks everything with love and from her heart. Her children were her world and she made sure that they all knew it. If you didn't answer when she called, please be prepared to receive a very detailed voicemail with lots of love in it.
Lisa was cared for by the amazing staff at Miami Valley Hospital Kettering Health in Dayton, Ohio, and Hospice of Dayton. She also was cared for by her life partner, Roger Brooks, from the first day that she was given her cancer diagnosis and until she took her last breath.
Lisa is preceded in death by her late parents, Robert and Fannie McGee; her brothers, Robert Jr. & Jerry; and her daughter, Avontae.
Lisa leaves to love and cherish her memories her 7 children; Angel (Dominique), Shelonda, Barry, Jerry, Shavontae, Shavonda, and Robert; her sister Theresa; her brothers, Frankie and James McGee; a host of grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives; along with a host of friends and acquaintances.
Lisa will be truly missed. She touched many people during her time on this earth.
