Leon Lonnie Meyer

Leon “Lonnie” Meyer, age 63, born October 23, 1962, was a lifelong resident of Dayton, Ohio. He transitioned peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber.

Lonnie is survived by his parents, Betty & Gary Meyer; children: Justin, Arrikha, Lonie (Armond Darby) and Jonathan. Along with his beloved grandchildren who were the light of his life: Milo, Cruz, Lourdes, and Banks. He is also survived by his sisters: Wendy, Monica (James Donaldson), Mia  (Jim Cole), Bronwyn, and Cheryl Miller; and brother Michael. 

He also leaves behind his chosen family: Anthony Bonner, Rochester, JB and Stuart, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Memorial Service 11 am Saturday, June 6, 2026 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Calling hours 9 am- 11 am. Family will receive friends 10 am- 11 am.
