Reverend Larry Bruce Wright, age 70, was a lifelong resident of Dayton, Ohio. He was born October 25, 1953, and departed this life Monday, May 27, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Bessie Wright; brothers, Kenny Sr., Arthur Jr., and Ricardo Wright Sr.
He leaves to cherish many precious memories his wife, Marla Wright; son, Ardel (Ashley) Mackey; grandson, Darion Mackey; sisters, Deborah Smith, Veronica Smith, Weontha Williams, Diana Baxter, Carol (Larry) Parks, Anita Wright, and Eileen Crockett; and brother, Alonzo (Shawna) Wright. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, special friends, Lawrence Jones and Penny Williams; and many more friends.
Rev. Wright graduated from Dunbar High School class of 1973. He served in the United States Army from 1973 - 1976. Rev. Wright retired from the Veterans Administration with 34 years of dedicated service.
He will be remembered as a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and pastor to many. Rev. Wright loved being around family for all special occasions. He loved doing lawn care and going to eat at Golden Corral. He dedicated his life to ministry and will be missed.
Visitation 9 am- 10:30 am Monday, June 10, 2024, at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Family will receive friends 9:30 am- 10:30 am. Funeral service begins at 10:30 am. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
