Lakeisha Jana Brown, age 33, was born on March 28, 1991, to Morris and Linda (Ridley) Brown in Dayton, Ohio. She passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Her father moved from Louisville, Kentucky and her mother was born in Dayton, Ohio.
She attended school at Trotwood-Madison High School and was active as the Cheer Coach, was a participant on the Drill Team, Band, Softball, Choir and played Soccer for one year. She worked at Trotwood-Madison Middle School as a para-professional, but coaching basketball was her true passion. She was a Trotwood-Madison Alumni and a Trotwood Wee Rams Team Mom and a mother of three.
She was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and loved to travel. She was very adventurous and fortunate to visit several places such as Florida, South Carolina, Chicago, Daytona Beach, Disney World just to name a few. Lakeisha was adorned by many and met no stranger. She had a genuine and compassionate heart and loved everyone, always offering advice and direction. She took charge of her life and lived it her way. She was the life of the party and will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother Linda (Ridley) Brown and her grandmother Shirley Ridley.
She is survived by her father Morris Brown, Sr., brother Morris Brown Jr., children Jamier Brown Walker, Jamison Brown, Jamiela Brown, grandmother Vernita Brown, grandfathers Julian Brown and Laverne Ridley, uncles, Vernon Ridley, Derek (Debbie) Shontee, Marcus (Tarri) Brown and Kevin Brown, aunts, Laurie Ridley, Marsha Brown, Beverly (Kym) Malone, Sherri (William) Roberts, niece Makayla Brown, nephews, Morris Brown III, Myles C.L. Brown and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral service 10 am Saturday, September 21, 2024 at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 2262 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am at which time family will receive friends. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
