Kimberly D. Shephard

SHEPHARD, Ms. Kimberly Dione, age 49, born August 19, 1970 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Shephard, departed this life Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center.

She attended Meadowdale High School in Dayton, and continued her education at Knoxville College in Knoxville, TN. She was employed many years at Miami Valley Hospital and Day-Mont West Behavioral Healthcare. Her most recent employment was at Five Rivers Medical Center where her co-workers often described her as having an infectious smile. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her co-workers and close friends and mostly cooking Sunday dinner for her children, who she absolutely adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Robin and Sheryl Shephard.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Tobias Hailey and Tavon Hailey; daughter, Tamaya Hailey; niece, Brittany Moore, all of Dayton; aunts, Harriett Shephard, Wilma Shephard, and Sharon Cook, all of Pennsylvania, Mildred Shephard of Dayton, who was also her Godmother; devoted friends, Karolyn Clark of Detroit, MI, Connie Smith and Janet Jackson, both of Dayton; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

Walk-through visitation will be held 9-11 am Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue. There will be a private family service immediately following the visitation. Interment West Memory Gardens.
