Kenneth Wayne Mobley, age 73, transitioned to eternal life on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Centerville Post Acute. He was born on August 23, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Milton Jr. and Mary H. Mobley.
Kenneth graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972 in Dayton, Ohio. Kenneth worked as a security guard at Miami Valley Hospital. Following his time at Miami Valley Hospital, he became a corrections officer at the Department of Corrections Institute in 1992 and worked there until his retirement in 2016.
Kenneth was preceded in death by parents; brother, Milton Mobley III; maternal grandparents, Emmet and Henrietta Patton; paternal grandparents, Milton Sr. and Daisey Mobley.
Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Ayisha (Alex) Walker and DiNia Williams; three brothers, Larry Mobley, Kevin Mobley, and Chris Mobley; sister, Sandra (Godfrey) Avery; two grandchildren, Angyneller Walker and Chad Walker; two great-grandchildren, Messiah Thompkins and Amaya Brent; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Special mention: nephew Carlos Mobley, brother, Kevin Mobley; his dog, Pup; best friends, Reggie Shine and David Roseman.
Funeral Service 12 pm Monday, March 2, 2026 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 10 am- 12 pm. Family will receive friends 11 am- 12 pm. Interment West Memory Gardens.
