Kelvin J. Clements was born January 23, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, to Ralph Anthony (Buss Ball) and Christine E. Clements. Kelvin departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Kelvin attended Meadowdale High School (Home of the Lions), class of 1974. He saw himself as an artist, from collecting or painting things, on down to how he presented himself to the world. His signature western wear “cowboy” aesthetic garnered him the attention of many. Those fortunate to cross his path were often enlightened by his personal testimony – a heartfelt recount of life’s triumphs, always shining a light on God’s gracious hand in every chapter. He had a genuine spirit, friendship was pure and unapologetically loved God in both spirit and truth.
Kelvin was a beacon of laughter. From his witty sayings to his unique voice, he kept any room he entered laughing. He also had a passion for playing pool, attending race track events, spending time with his family and helping others. Helping others brought him joy and fulfillment throughout his life.
Kelvin is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph E. and Mary J. Clements; parents, Christine E. Clements and Ralph Anthony. He leaves behind a legacy through his children: Kelvin Price-Woods (Darrell) and Tiffany Franklin, son-in-love Dwayne Hansbro. A proud grandfather, to his only grandchild, Trinity Franklin.
Kelvin also held a special place in his heart for his siblings: Christopher D. Clements, Kenneth D. (Jean) Clements, Donda R. Clements-Smith, Ralph Anthony, and Renee Anthony. He cherished the unique bond he shared with each of them. Kelvins life was shared with his cousins, nephews and nieces, whom he held close to his heart; and host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
As we reflect on Kelvin’s life, we are reminded of the light he brought into our lives. He will be sorely missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
