Keith Andre Brown

Keith Andre Brown, age 63, of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 29th, 2025. He was born to Sandra Lee Brown (Sallee) and Laron Cregg Brown ( Abdul L. Muqtadir). He was a graduate of Belmont High School class of 1979 earning varsity letters in Basketball and Track and Field.

Keith attended and played basketball at Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He was employed by Montgomery County Educational Service Center for 14 years. He was also a local event promoter, bringing R&B bands, white parties and Westwood reunion events to the city. Keith  recently accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior while attending Harvest Grove Baptist Church. Keith never met a stranger and made everyone he encountered   feel love, humor and compassion. He touched the lives of many.

Keith loved his family, friends, students, co-workers and his best friend, Felix Turner!

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra L. Brown (Sallee); father, Abdul L. Muqtadir (Laron C. Brown); maternal grandfather, Elmer Sallee; maternal grandmother, Carolynn Sallee; aunt, Deborah Sallee; cousin, Ge’Juan Sallee; paternal grandmother, Alma Brown (Tumer).

Keith leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Lauren I. Brown; brothers, Laron C. Brown, Jr. (Betti), Quinthony R. Brown (Mya); sister, Aisha D. Muqtadir; aunts, Sharon Mallory (Leon), Elmeretta Sallee, Carol Ann Sallee, Denise Sallee; uncle, Curtis Sallee; cousins, Gwen Patton (Jimmy) Chrystal  Carpenter, Stacey Hicks, Rodney Mallory (Katrina), Cornine James (Dana), Eugene Sallee, Curtis J. Sallee; nieces, Elise, Nia, Kaila, Amiya; nephews, Laron III, Myles, Marques; great nephew, Messiah; best friend, Felix Turner; special friend, Carolyn Boddie-Gunn;  a host of other special family members and friends.

Funeral service 11 am Saturday, April 12, 2025 at The Gateway Cathedral, 5501 Olive Rd., Trotwood, OH. Visitation 9 am- 11 am. Family will receive friends 10 am- 11 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
