Kasey Simone Watkins

Kasey Simone Watkins left this world at the age of 31 years old on October 31, 2023. She was born to Sheila Brannon and Mark Watkins on January 16, 1992 in Dayton, Ohio. Kasey brought a whirlwind of spirit and zest to every moment of her life.

Kasey was a loving and caring daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Her love for her family was boundless and could fill a room, leaving no doubt that family was everything to her.

Kasey proudly graduated from Meadowdale High School in 2011. Kasey's interests were as diverse as her personality - she found joy in reading, music, dancing, movie nights, video games, basketball, and, most importantly, indulging in culinary delights. She had an unparalleled knack for savoring life's little pleasures, whether it was forging new friendships through her work at a nursing home and Wendy’s, or worshiping alongside her community at Mt Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Her infectious spirit left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Kasey's legacy lives on through her mother, Sheila Brannon, her father, Mark Watkins (married to Larisha), her sisters, Brittany “Kobi” Brannon, Brianna Watkins, Brittany Jones, her brothers, Jason Todd, Mark Watkins Jr., Arthur Jones (married to Shantae), Christopher Jones, and her grandmothers, Helen Brannon and Zin Watkins. She also leaves behind a vast network of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were touched by her vibrant presence. Special thanks to Tosha Foster and Mary Petterman, whose friendship and support in her journey were dearly appreciated.

In celebration of her life, a homegoing ceremony will take place 1 pm Thursday, November 09, 2023, at House of Wheat Funeral Home. 2107 N. Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Visitation 11 am- 1 pm allowing friends and family to come together to remember the spirited, loving, and unforgettable Kasey Simone Watkins. Interment West Memory Gardens.
