Judith A. Green, age 81, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was born April 6, 1940 in Dayton to Dorothy (Norvell) Smith and the late Otis Smith. Judy was the eldest of three children. She found Christ at an early age and was baptized at Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church.
Judy graduated from Roosevelt High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Central State University, going on to receive her Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Dayton. For over 30 years Judy touched the lives of many children as an adored Special Education Teacher with the Dayton Public School System.
Judy was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Beta Eta Omega Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and The Church Aide Society at Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church.
She loved watching classic movies, listening to ‘Doo-Wop’, and traveling with her baby sister.
Judy is preceded in death by her father; brother, Michael; brother-in-law, Charles Garrison; beloved son, Steven Robinson; grandmother, Lula Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Dorothy; loving and devoted sister, Kathy Garrison; adopted sister, Gretchen Terry of White Plains, NY; special nieces, Dana M. Blaine (Caregiver and Birthday twin), Tracy K. Blaine, Christina (Trey) Nelson of Birmingham, AL, Tonya Morgan and Nikki Morgan; adored great nieces, Alexandra Nelson of Birmingham, AL, and Chloe Blaine; adored great nephew, Alijah Charles Nelson of Birmingham, AL; special friend, Carol Thomas; a host of other family and friends. Special thanks also to our friend, Jim Judge for all his support.
Walk-through visitation 9:00 – 11:00 AM Friday, July 16, at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Masks Required. Memorial service to be held at a later date.
