Joseph L. Sheppheard

Joseph Lee Sheppheard “Joe”, born February 23, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio to Wallace Sr. and Viola (Washington) Sheppheard, departed this life Friday, May 6, 2022, in his home.

Joseph loved to cook and listen to music. In 1973, he graduated from Jefferson High School. Joseph worked 25 years for General Motors until he retired in 2008.

He was preceded in death by mother and father; son, Joseph D. Sheppheard; brothers, Frank, Jessie, James, Irvin, Nathaniel and Wallace Jr. Sheppheard.

He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Jason Sheppheard; daughter, Sherree Wright; stepchildren, Antjuan, Dajuan, Laquan and Shaquana Bell; brothers, Earl Sheppheard, George Sheppheard and Walter “hank” (Pam) Sheppheard; grandchildren, Jakala, Danielle, Jasha, Sincere, Jay’Ceion, Aniya, Lariya, A’mariya, Joseph; great grandchild, Avianna; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Walk-through visitation 10 am-12 noon Tuesday, May 17, at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Funeral service at 12 noon. Interment West Memory Gardens.
