It is with a peace which exceeds one's understanding that JoAnn Dunn obtained the ultimate healing on Friday May 8, 2026 in Dayton, Ohio. JoAnn was born on May 11, 1950 Dayton, Ohio the union of Joe Brewster and Fannie (Maddox) Brewster.
JoAnn embodied the spirit of kindness and she was very sociable and friendly. She had a vivacious and lively spirit. JoAnn obtained an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at Sinclair Community College and worked for the Dayton Board of Education 10 years.
JoAnn embraced life with enthusiasm and vigor, she enjoyed walking in the park and feeding the ducks as leisure activity. Also she enjoyed having weekly Bible studies with her Christian sisters and praying with the residents at the hospice center.
Her legacy lives on through her adorning children, grandchildren, great grandchild, beloved siblings and a host of nieces and nephews. Derrick Brewster, Angela Dunn-Lindsey, Portia' Twitty, Ronald Lindsey Jr, John Bryant Jr, Adena Jefferson, Fanella Brewster, Danny Brewster, Daryl Terry, Dejeune' Fox and Danny Brewster Jr.
JoAnn will be remembered as a compassionate soul who left an indelible mark on all who knew her including a host of family and friends. As JoAnn spirit crossed into eternity, she joins her parents and brother Darnell Brewster each who preceded her in death. In the embrace of her memory may we all strive to live with Faith, Love and a tender heart. JoAnn will be cremated as her spirit rests in peace with God.
