Jimmy Carnegie Obituary

CARNEGIE, Jimmy Lewis, age 66, born November 28, 1951 in Delray Beach, FL, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was part of a family of nine children. He graduated from Carver High School in 1970. He entered the U. S. Air Force in 1971, proudly serving the next 24 years. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Park University in 1994. Jimmy “CC”, truly loved being in the Air Force. He was beloved by so many of his fellow service members. During his tenure at Wright-Patterson AFB, his last position in uniform was as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of Laboratory Services. He was admired by many as being a very outstanding supervisor and mentor, especially to the Phase II students.

Jimmy met Carolyn Howard in 1986 and married December 1987. Together, they have a blended family of six children and two grandchildren. Jimmy loved sports so much, that he was blessed to play football and baseball in high school. He went on to also play football in the Air Force. He enjoyed coaching his son Jay’s 6th grade football team, as well as, intermural basketball teams that Jay and Jemina played on. Jimmy was a faithful servant at Revival Center Ministries, serving as and Usher and Deacon. He truly had a heart for servitude.

Jimmy was a very fun loving and caring individual. He loved being in charge, and he was great at it. He was able to reach people where they were. We the family, believe that the seeds he planted will fully mature at the appointed time by God. We thank God to have had him in our lives.

Preceded in death by his father, Frank Carnegie; mother, Sarah Carnegie; brother, Alphonso “Al” Carnegie; sister, Lynne Carnegie.
