Jeoffrey Parks Obituary

Pastor Jeoffrey T. Parks, age 70, of Dayton, Ohio was born June 3rd, 1953. He entered eternal rest on Sunday May 12, 2024.

Pastor Jeoffrey was a devoted loving husband to the love of his life, the late Darlena Parks of 41 years.  He was a loving son, brother, friend, father, and grandfather to many. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High school in 1971, a Teddy alumni. He won/held all state track records in high and low hurdles in the State of Ohio.

He was called into the ministry in 1994 to preach, he was Pastor to the Good Samaritan Baptist Church for 13 years. He was a powerful anointed man of God, who loved to preach the gospel of Jesus! He was an awesome preacher teacher, who lived out the word of God! He was one of the most phenomenal preachers ever heard! His love for God was displayed in his life as his light shined bright that drew many to Jesus! His life was a true testimony of God’s grace and astounding love. He loved all God’s people. He was a member of the Miami Valley Baptist District Association.

He retired in 2014 from Flo Serve Inc. in Skill Trade “Millright”. He enjoyed hanging out with his brothers, fishing, studying the word and listening to sermons. He was an avid Michigan State and 49ers fan!

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlena Parks; his father, the late Ludie Parks Sr.; sister, Michelle “Micky” Parks; brothers, Michael Matlock, Darryl Parks, and Wendell Parks.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his beautiful mother, whom he loved dearly, June Marie Parks; his devoted son, Dana Lamar (Stephanie) Davis; his three beautiful daughters, Chawana Lynn (Robert) Bennett II, LaShawn Denise McLemore and Tempest Mills; his loving “brothers/best friends, Ludie Parks Jr., and Marshall (Merna) Parks, Michael Nabors; two loving  sisters; Beverly Parks and Yvonne Marshall; his extended family, Gloria Perry, Louis (Sabrina) Davis, Richard (Anita) Davis; grandchildren, Danae Davis, Charles McLemore III, Danisha Davis, Chaleah Bennett, Charlee McLemore, Mario Sledge, Miracle Walton and Teshawn Mills; ten great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. One special son in love, Robert Bennett, two god sons; Masito Kidd & David Ellington Sr.; special spiritual daughters; Anita “peaches” Shaw & Bridget Gullatte Horton and his Good Samaritan Baptist Church family.  He will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral service 11 am Monday, May 20, 2024 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 S. Broadway St., Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am- 11 am. Family will receive friends 10 am- 11 am. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
