Jeanette Lee, lovingly known as Sug to many, departed this life on November 11, 2025. She was born on January 19, 1955, to the late Eddie Lee and Alsestia Berry. She received her education at Dunbar High School.
Jeanette was born and raised in Ohio and was the youngest of six children. She was a retired employee of Miami Valley Child Development Centers, where she served as Head Cook at several centers for over thirty years.
Jeanette (Sug) transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first son Donald Lee Jr., and four older sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Michael Lee; two sisters, Beulah (Lewis) Jackson and Eddie Mae (Jerry) Reed; nieces and nephews, Mary (Ronald) Bruce, Alice Taylor, Mattie Coleman, Elizabeth Berry, Cornell (Cheretha) Cortner, Eugene Wade, J.C. Wade, LeKeisha (Keith) Clack, Jerry Reed Jr.; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by dear friends Sandy Beard, Mamie Taylor, and Chenita Webb.
Jeanette will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Funeral service 11 am Thursday, November 20, 2025 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am- 11 am. Family will receive friends 10 am- 11 am. Interment West Memory Gardens.
