Janette White Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Janette White, a loving sister, devoted aunt, and cherished friend, who left us on April 2, 2025. Janette was born on April 3, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and kindness.

Net as she was affectionately called, was a beacon of light in the lives of her family and friends. As a sister, she was a steadfast supporter, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her siblings will forever treasure the memories of their shared laughter, heartfelt conversations, and the deep bond they cultivated over the years. As an aunt, Janette embraced her role with joy and enthusiasm, showering her nieces and nephews with affection, wisdom, and countless adventures. Her playful spirit and nurturing heart made her a beloved figure in their lives, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire them.

Net dedicated many years of her life to her career, retiring from St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where she was known for her compassion and dedication. She later found joy in her work at Edible Fruit Arrangements, where her creativity and passion for bringing smiles to others shone brightly. Her ability to create beautiful arrangements was a reflection of her vibrant personality and her love for making others happy.

In addition to her family and career, Net had a wide circle of friends who were touched by her warmth and compassion. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and valued, and her laughter could light up any room. Net’s spirit of generosity extended beyond her family and friends; she was known for her volunteer work and commitment to her community, leaving a lasting impact on those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Joseph and Cora Mae White; paternal grandparents, Albert and Annie Lou White; maternal grandparents, Hiram and Ruby Hill; brothers, Winfred, Michael and Bruce White; sister, Dianne Pierce; uncles, Jimmy Hill, Abner, and LM Spear; aunts, Jewell and Dorothy Spear; nephew, Shawn Pierce;  brother-in-law, Raymond Rogan; and cousin, Lamar Spear.

Net is survived by her loving sisters, Mildred White Rogan, Yvonne (Charles) Jackson, and Barbara (Darryl) Jones; brother-in-law, James Pierce; aunts, Elizabeth Evans and Sylvia Hill; cherished nieces and nephews, Todd Pierce, Chad (Gail) Pierce, Jamie White, Nathan (Currie) Grant, Jevon (Dionna) Grant, Darian Carmichael, LaMetria (George) Orange, Shawntay Player, Tameisha White, Michael and Dashawn Beddison, and Darius White; lifelong friends, Gwyn Donaldson, Mary McClain, and Diane Moore; a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Net will be remembered for her boundless love, infectious laughter, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone, especially changing the name of everyone she met! Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Janette; you will be missed more than words can express.
