James Jeter Obituary

James Timothy Jeter “Timmy" was born September 18, 1958 to Jean Jeter and James Jeter. He  graduated from Jefferson Township High School, Class of 1978! He took Culinary Arts Classes at Sinclair Community College. Timmy was enlisted in the United States Army from 1982-1986. He was a Supply Technician and Armourer. Timmy worked as a Lead Inspector at First Call. He is preceded in death by his loving Mother Jean "Toots" Jeter, Step Mother Lula L. Lang Jeter, Maternal Grandmother Virginia Woodruff, Paternal Grandparents Francis and Eva Jeter and nephew, Paul A. Jeter II.  Timmy leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Adelita "Dede" Martinez Jeter, Merced, CA, daughters: Samantha Wright and Regis Jeter, children by marriage: Jasmine Martinez and Crystal Martinez. Grandchildren:  Nautica Wright, Antonio Harris, Nia Walker, Nevaeh Johnson, Noah Higgins, a great grandson "Autry," his father: James Jeter of Arlington, VA, siblings: Paul (Toni) Jeter of San Antonio, TX, Cheryl "Peaches" (John) Dixon, Donnetta Boykin, Aunts: Peggy Lester, Patricia Jeter-Clarke, Mary Bohannon and Loretta Smith. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a special friend Antonio Harris, Sr. and many friends.

Timmy loved the Lord and was an all around fun guy! A good basketball player, baseball player, great at billiards and enjoyed cooking and grilling! 

He passed away on February 18, 2024 in his home surrounded by loved ones.  Shortly after passing, Timmy smiled. 

We wish to thank 1st Call Supervisors:  Huckleberry and Jay, Hospice of Dayton, The James Cancer Hospital and Kettering Health Dayton for all of their care and support. 

Timmy is loved and will be dearly missed.
