Jameica Anquanette “Missy” White, was born in Dayton, OH on February 19, 1975, to Anita Wilkinson and the late James Vines. She graduated from Meadowdale High School, Class of 1993 and attended Sinclair Community College. She lived out the rest of her life employed by the United States Postal Service in Indianapolis, IN, where she passed away in her home on August 26, 2021.
She was a caring, compassionate person whose personality warmed many hearts. Her pleasant personality and laughter were infectious. She was loved by many not only for her giving and generous spirit, but for the impact she has left on all her friends and family. Her charisma and disposition light up every room she walked into. She spent her youth at Glorious Light Church of the Living God, under the leadership of Pastor Alma Horne, and later her father, Elder James Vines. Jameica later became a member of the Nation of Islam at Muhammad Mosque #74 in Indianapolis, where Student Minister Nuri Muhammad is the local representative. She had a benevolent heart, always willing to care of others. She loved to sing, attend concerts, and in her last years, discovered a passion for travel and adventure. Jameica was a true friend, admirable daughter, caring aunt, phenomenal sister and loving mother.
Jameica was preceded in death by her father, James Vines, and her grandparents, Bernard Harper, Dorthea Vines, and Joan Vauls. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her five wonderful children: Guyia Muhammad, Gemaira Muhammad, Jabril Muhammad, Gabrielle Muhammad, and Jabari Muhammad; loving mother, Anita Wilkinson, and siblings, Janita “Sissy” Vines and James Vines II; nieces and nephews, Jayme Golding, Jalyn Love, Ja’Mes Vines, and Xania Vines; as well as her devoted best friend, Nicole Ball and special aunt, Betty Whitaker.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday, September 8, at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 5301 Olive Rd. Visitation 10-11:30 am. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
