Inez Chandler

Inez Chandler, born December 31,1942 in Carrollton, GA to the late Amelia Griffith and Jimmy Ware, was called home May 14, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. Her brother Lewis was called home the following day.

Inez was the second of eleven children. She was a kind and giving woman who would open her heart and home to family and friends with warmth and love. Inez married Jesse J. Chandler Sr. in 1961 and moved to Dayton, and to that union six children were born. Inez worked for Maria Joseph for over 20 years before medically retiring in 2001. She was known by those closest to her as “Granny”. She was preceded in death by her children, Jesse Lee, Jesse James Jr.; siblings, Will-Amos, Wesley, Charles, Pettie and Ann.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Jesse Sr.; children, Rebecca Chandler, Brenda Chandler-Martin (Dane), Mae Chandler-Bernard (Lysa), and Charles Chandler; 16 loving grandchildren, one of which was her devoted granddaughter, Brandi Chandler; sisters, Joyce, Connie, Annette, and brother, Terry; a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren to cherish her memories.
