STEVENSON, Ida Lee, age 70, born February 23, 1951 in Maringouin, Louisiana and raised in Dayton, Ohio, went with the Lord Friday April 30, 2021.
She graduated from Julienne High School, Class of 1969. She is a published author writing poetry and short stories most of her life. She has been published in several newspapers, literary journals and anthologies across the country. In addition, she worked several years for Dayton Public Schools and the Dayton Music Federation.
Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel L. Stevenson Jr.; parents, Mitchell and Emily Caldwell; siblings, Agnes Maston, Willie Charles, and Bobbie Baxter.
She is survived by her son, Samuel L. Stevenson III; daughters, Shawna Hill, Michelle Roberts; daughter-in-law, Latrishia Stevenson; sons-in-law, Corey Hill, Vaughan Roberts; grandchildren, Adia Gardner, Adresha Hill, Mare'elle Leach, Sasha Hill, Samuel Stevenson IV, Josiah Roberts, Sadie Roberts; great grandchildren, David Jenkins Jr., Maxwell Carambot; and a host of family and friends whom cherish memories of her life.
Walk-through visitation 9-11 am Monday, May 10, at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Private Service. Interment West Memory Gardens.
