Ida Mae Blake, age 88, of Dayton, Ohio, departed this life Thursday, January 16, 2025. Ida Mae was a graduate of Roosevelt High School class of 1954.
Ida was a supervisor at (DESC) Defense Electronics Supply Center for 39 years and retired at the age of 52. Ida was the last matriarch of her 13 siblings. Ida was the glue that kept the family together. Ida loved fitness, she loved walking, and planting flowers in the summer. Ida attended Revival Center Ministries where she was a member for 35 years. Ida was the Treasurer and Secretary for the Senior Saints. Ida lived a fruitful life she loved the Lord and inspired others to read the word of the Bible. Ida smile was contagious, and her laugh would make you laugh.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Blake Sr.; parents, Josephine and Burl Arnold.
Ida is survived by her loving and devoted children, Richard Blake Jr. and Renee Blake; granddaughters, Janae Cooper and Ciera’ Fitts; grandson; Ti Jail Fitts Jr.
Funeral service 11 am Friday, January 31, 2025 at Revival Center Ministries, 3011 Oakridge Drive, Dayton, Ohio. Visitation 10 am- 11 am at which time family will receive friends. Interment, West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
